Many people were wondering if Kerry Connolly will be coming back to WBZ because of her hosting the Patriots children's show since WBZ got the rights to the Patriots All Access. Paula Ebben just tweeted about this... She (used to be paired with Scott Wahle) will be back on mornings as the new traffic reporter.
I am very happy about this because I liked her when she was on mornings and I'm not a fan of Rich.

I admired Kerry's work during her last 'BZ stint and look forward to seeing her on-air in a few weeks. As for the Totally Patriots show, a contest was held a month (?) or so ago to find a new host. |

I agree, Kate and Paula should be concerned! They are nowhere as good as Kerry. Just my opinion too.

She is coming back sometime in August. Don't know about Rich's future.

She returns Aug. 20. Here's the release: wbztv.com/press/Kerry.Connolly.WBZTV.2.1087187.html. Rich Kirkland will remain with Metro Traffic, an outside vendor that provides traffic-reporting services to television and radio stations. WBZ will be utilizing TrafficPulse's technology. |

Rich does morning traffic reports on radio station 92-5 The River. He probably does them on other stations as well.

I hope that Kerry Connolly eventually moves back into an anchor role. She is much more talented than some of the existing people in my opinion.

Ms. Connolly is horrendous. She was cute and cuddly when she did the Patriots show for kids a few years ago, but in her role as traffic, uh, reporter(?), she has no substance or believeability whatsoever. "Look at the little yellow cars moving slowly," she says, pointing to the map. It's as though she wants us to believe those are the actual cars on the highway. Now, switch to Cindy Campbell on Ch. 5. I don't find her particularly attractive, but she delivers the traffic with an air of authority and depth of knowledge that is indeed impressive. Ms. Connolly is strictly junior high school by comparison. Like Ms. Campbell, Rich Kirkland also has great stage presence and authority. I miss his reports. Sorry, but Ms. Connolly is totally, completely, hopelessly out of her league.
