Patriots All-Access

According to an article in today's Boston Herald (http://www.bostonherald.com/business/media/view.bg?articleid=1143875&format=&page=2&listingType=media#articleFull), Patriots All-Access will move to WBZ next fall. The program is produced by Kraft Sports Media. The program previously aired on WCVB. Does anyone know if the deal includes Patriots preseason football games?

Yes, it does.

Huge financial hit for WCVB, but this is the culmination of Robert's dealings with CBS... once the restaurant went up, the moving of the preseason package/All Access was a forgone conclusion.

So I assume Steve Burton will host and no longer Mike Lynch? Hopefully they keep the "Belestrator" -- one of my favorite segments of the show!

I don't know how much fraternization there is between sports guys from competing stations, but I'll go out on a limb and say that Lynch and Burton wouldn't exchange Christmas cards. It seems that 'All Access' was Lynch's raison d'etre; now it's Burton's

"Patriots All Access" WBZ/F 7pm-8pm; TV38/Su 9am-10am
"Totally Patriots" TV38/Su 10:30am-11am
Preseason Patriots games

I would hope that the perennial Three Stooges shorts will merely be moved... but who knows.

Don't think for one second that Steve Burton will be the host of the show... it's a major source of debate because a certain HC of the NEP isn't a fan.

When the smoke clears, I would look for Scott Zolak (who joined the cast this year) to be the host. If WBZ really stomps it's feet, Dan Roche could be a compromise... but his baseball committments might make that difficult.

Of course, Belichick could decline to do the show.

I liked Zolak when he was on WBZ. But WCVB has transformed him into a loudmouth screamer. No thank you.

I hope Burton doesn't get an 'entitlement' complex about hosting the show. He seems to carry and conduct himself that way, and it's annoying. Obviously it is to the real star of the show, Belichick.

Here's something that seems to need clarifying - Patriots All Access is not entirely the work of 'CVB, nor will it be with 'BZ either.

Kraft Sports Productions puts the show together... that includes the "Zo Knows" segment you're probably referring to when calling Zolak a "loudmouth screamer."

I've found Zolak to be much better working with Lynch on Sunday nights... Mike tends to keep Zolak on topic, whereas on WBZ, he and DeOssie would try to "out-bro" each other.

I spoke to 'BZ's press person and she said they haven't made decisions about talent yet.

Again, "they" won't be.

The show is the creation and property of Kraft Sports Productions and they have final say over who the host is. The Burton thing is a big issue right now.

Whatever Max, let the gawkers just spit out when they want, relevant or NOT. People that can't even take the time to register, to me, aren't people that really care about what your attempting to do here. Way to build a community.

Sorry man, but a major thumbs down on this site. My 8 yr old daughter could have put together something more user friendly and appealing.
