That would be nothing short of a Grand Slam Home Run for WCVB--period.

I can confirm nothing except to say that Randy is holding discussions with them, and that no decisions are being made about what slot he might fit into or with whom. More when we get it.

YES! I love the eyeopener on channel 5 and I think Randy & Bianca will be perfect together, I love them both. And I can't wait to see Randy report the news on a station with integrity.

I would love to see Randy with Bianca. I am not a fan of David Brown as an anchor. He should stick to weather. It annoys me when J.C. is talking about the weather and he always has to jump in as if it is his segment. Good luck to Randy!

Randy is just one of several anchors who have come in for a tryout this week (all major market types)...

Would love to see Randy Price bump Ed Harding out of the 5 6 and 11pm newscasts. Place Ed on at 5:30 and we are golden. Why put a veteran such as Randy on for the Eyeopener?

It would seem like a step down for Randy going from lead anchor to morning anchor, but as discusssed here on the site before but aren't morning news casts big money for the stations too?

Morning shows are probably bigger advertising dollars for stations because of the amount of ad time available. But beyond that, the reputation of WCVB is more of Randy would want, after what he left months ago.

They certainly are. And let's face it, with the possible exception of Mark Ockerbloom at 25, all the market's lead male anchors carry enough name recognition and clout not to get bumped out of their slot, so this turn of events is to be somewhat expected.

If ONLY Walker and Price could team at 5, 6 and 11.... Oh to dream...
