For those of us who have HD, was anyone bothered by the constant switch from HD to SD on WBZ throughout prime time last Friday as breaking news of the Green Line crash was being scrolled? I'm all for updated information and and breaking news but this was VERY annoying.
Comments?

Can anyone explain why, if the tv stations are broadcasting in HD,the cable company requires a HD box, at the cost of $8.00 +/- ? Its all very confusing.

On my one 16:9 HDTV, I have no cable box at all installed. But I can get an HD version of every Boston major network station.
The channels are weird: WBZ is on 86-1, WHDH on 102-3, etc., but HD they are. No box required.
