I remembered reading something on the now defunct Boston TV News "The Scoop" a couple of weeks before it closed and fortunately I was able to retrieve it through the RSS feed. If there's any truth to it then one can't really blame her for moving on. The post reads as follows:

I want to believe that she will supplant Lisa Hughes on the 5-6 shift with Jonathan Elias, but logistics make it a challenging commute.
Diana is a star, but she and Ducis (ESPN) will most likely find a mutually acceptable situation soon. The commute has to be killing her.
Let's hope that Ducis Rodgers finds a spot in the Boston market, thus allowing Diana's talent to blossom here."
