As previous chopper crashes have shown, this could have been much worse. Thankfully, both pilot and photog escaped without injury.
WCVB's helicopter, Sky5, made a hard precautionary landing in the Boston Common on Tuesday night around 6:00. There were no injuries to either the pilot, Michael Young, or the photographer, Karen Lippert, inside the Bell LongRanger helicopter, which was testing out new equipment according to Channel 5.
As previous chopper crashes have shown, this could have been much worse. Thankfully, both pilot and photog escaped without injury.
