Hi Folks,
I'm pleased to announce today that, contrary to earlier announcements, BTVN will now continue into 2011 and beyond. This is due to the intervention of a long-time member named Stephen (who prefers that I not disclose his last name at this point).
Stephen will join the BTVN team in the first few days of January and become our new Managing Editor. Our plan at this moment is to do a special podcast sometime in the next week or two, hosted by Shawn, Rob and myself, in which we look back at the first ten years of BTVN, update you on what's going on in our lives, and then formally hand the ship over to Stephen.
He has promised me that the best traditions of BTVN will be maintained, with a whole new look, exclusive content, and more in-depth features than we've been able to bring you in the last few years. I have every confidence that he will make an excellent proprietor who will rejuvenate BTVN as it enters what will be its fourth incarnation over the coming year. The site will continue in its current form under his leadership until he is able to make the planned changes, and come what may, you'll be able to get to the main site and these boards through www.btvn.net and our Twitter feed will be updated far more regularly at www.twitter.com/BTVN.
Please use this space to leave your good luck messages for Stephen, and feel free to include suggestions for features to include on the new site.
I’m overjoyed that BTVN will be able to continue for what I hope will be years to come under Stephen’s stewardship, and I wish him and all of you every success (and if you’re celebrating) a very Merry Christmas!
All the best,
Max
