Hello All, It's not often I urge people to go do stuff, but I'm going to make an exception here. For many years, I've been great friends with Steve Safran, editor of the new-media blog LostRemote.com and a former technology correspondent and webcast anchor for NECN. He has also been a longtime supporter of this site. As you may know, WGBH's "Beat the Press", which includes many of the same discussions we have here on BTVN, is looking for a new regular panelist after the necessary departure of incoming Boston Herald editor Joe Sciacca. The show is great, but sorely lacks a new-media voice, something which is almost unbelieveable in 2010. If you have enjoyed Steve's work in the past, either on NECN or any of his other endeavours, then I strongly urge you to suggest him as a panelist by posting in this thread on the BTP website: beatthepress.org/blog/ralph-ranalli/1052?page=1Please don't "stuff the ballot box" - in other words, if you're not familiar with Steve, don't try to B.S. it - we don't want to ruin it for him! That said, I'd suggest you avail yourself of his work ASAP as the man is a total mensch and slightly-demented genius when it comes to new media. Beseeching now over - thanks very much!

So, does anyone know when the next season of “Beat The Press” begins? Has any announcement been made?

Nothing yet, and this week, they were on an all-black set... maybe working on a new set?
