That would be 4:30 AM which isn't a bad idea considering some people do rise at that time or even earlier and would like to see what is occurring in this world.
I'm sure there will be other followers forthcoming. I wonder if this is just WBZ doing this or is this something from CBS....

WCVB does the same beginning Sept. 7.
In addition, the weekend EyeOpener will begin at 5:00 AM Saturday and Sunday mornings. How soon before WBZ follows suit?

I'm not up that early, but according to their Web site, NECN has a 'First Thing in the Morning' broadcast at 4:30.

I know he makes more than enough money, but spare a thought for Randy Price, who has to come all the way in from southern Maine at WTF-o'clock!

Is it not his CHOICE to live in Maine? Is someone forcing him to live there & commute to Needham in the wee hours of the night?

That doesn't mean we can't bitch and moan to our heart's content about our working conditions (and most of us do), or indeed empathize with the situations of others. Like I said, nobody's going to be holding any telethons for Randy any time soon, but it certainly is a punishing routine that's about to become even moreso.

I don't empathize with Randy one bit, nor is HE bitching about the extra half hour. Randy would know better than to even suggest people should feel bad for him regarding his commute. He is a TV anchor; nobody cares where he lives or how he gets to work. I choose to empathize with people with real problems, not those who are doing just fine and have chosen to live somewhere far from their workplace.

There are many who awake far earlier to earn far less.

There's a very nice Sheraton in Needham just a stone's throw from 5 TV Place.
