Just curious.....how come you never see his wife at a rally or in his commercials? Is it because of her position at Ch. 5?

The other day, I received an election post card in the mail from the Brown campaign. Inside it had a picture of the Brown family, including Gail Huff.

I'm sure Gail will be by his side tonight at the big victory party! I totally get refusing to allow her to campaign for him, but to not let her be there tonight - whatever way it goes - would be faintly absurd. |

To me, I think with the election being over does make a difference. So I could see why it might not be an issue at the victory party.

I sure hope Gail does not leave WCVB. (Indeed, she's staying for now, but circumstances could someday change.) I've long said she's the classiest, most elegant woman on Boston TV, and I'd even run on that platform.

Gail was in-studio on air during the 5 p.m. newscast Thursday, Jan. 21, not even 48 hours after the polls closed Tuesday. She reported about the arson of two stolen vehicles. Both she and anchors acted as though Gail had never been away. Though I understand she can't cover politics, I do hope she is not relegated to reporting only miscellaneous stories. Gail is still all class.
