NECN HD on January 18th

"The Buker School will be my last school visit of 2009, as I dive into a big project to bring our NECN Weather Team into High-Definition, for a transition you'll see on your TV January 18"

If only I could watch NECN. But Cox Communications refuses to carry them. Instead we get useless 24/7 looping local newscasts from the lowest rated station in town.

New NECN wx graphics start tomorrow. As posted above, HD starts Jan 18.

NECN isn't going to be in HD. They'll be upconverting the analog signal to HD. No studio segments in HD either. That said, I'll be happy to see them on the digital tier

The new graphics are better, But the blue and silver themed graphics seem very cold.

Not to mention they are using generic production music that is the same as the tease from NewsCenter 5's Preopens as their theme now. (At least for the wknd shows)
