I don't see how Jim's commentaries add anything to the newscast... It's sad when someone is out of a job, but I will not miss him on 25.

I like his on air persona before he left back in 2006 to return to school. When he returned it seemed to me that his whole demeanor changed. Again - this my perception and not meant to hurt him.

My sense with this was that they got him to do the commentary stuff in order to fill the void left by David Wade, but it wasn't strictly necessary; I always enjoyed his contributions - he even managed to stay tolerable when they made him do the fluffier stuff, which is pretty admirable in and of itself.

The cuts keep coming at WFXT-TV (Ch. 25). Reporter Jim Armstrong isn’t getting his contract renewed after six years with the station, a Fox 25 spokesperson confirmed

It will be sad to see Jim go. He was a pleasurable personality on 25.

Ch. 25 spent years, much money and effort in an attempt to build the station. But for the past 12 months, it has been rapidly shrinking.
