Just caught David Epstein doing the weather on WGME 13 News up here in Portland. Does anyone know if he's a new hire or fill in?

I saw him too... I believe I read in the Globe a while back he's freelancing some weekends during the summer.

Here's why I'm letting it be - it was his first post. We can all say things that are ill-advised, but until or unless I see it as a habitual thing (twice consecutively or more over a longer timespan), then I see no reason to act other than to remind everyone that that sort of posting isn't in keeping with our expected standards. Anything more like this, though, and it may be a different story.
