Recently, WNYW (Fox25's NY sister station) went HD. Prior to that, KTTV (LA) made the transition. Even before that, WTXF (Philly) and WJW (Cleveland) went HD. WNYW and KTTV both went HD shortly after the second to last SD station flipped the switch. In Boston, that was 4.
I've also noticed that Fox25's weather graphics now actually fill the entire 4:3 viewing area, eliminating the awkward flashing from the weather intro that is underneath it.
Any thoughts on 25's inevitable switch to HD?

Their folding in all their graphics people (for every Fox O&O) into their Tampa station. My guess would be shortly after that.

Considering the department closings, outsourcing and layoffs going on at 25, can they afford to upgrade their equipment to HD? And what will Fox do with the vacated space inside their sprawling Dedham building? |

Their Studio reminds me of Home Depot or Sam's club. Waaay too big and vacant looking. Looks like a warehouse with 3 people surfing the web.

Sources tell me their backup control room is being prepped for HD now. But there's no set date for the switchover.
If I had to guess, I'd say after July when News Corp's new fiscal year begins.
