I know WBZ has just gone HD recently, so I waited a while for them to work out their kinks before complaining. But there are some things about it that annoy me. 1. Why can't they do their live shots in 16:9 SD, 5 and 7 do. 2. Why can't they record non-live studio shots in HD? 3. What the hell is with the weather graphics, they look horrible, is it that much trouble to get new ones? 4. Why can't they get their opening in 16:9? I know for a fact it was made in HD, saw it on the developers website. 5. Sometimes it seems like they forget to "turn on" the HD, the beginnings of newscast are in 4:3 SD.
I love WBZ, but i think their HD launch was a little sub-par. I don't blame them too much though, because they polled people and found that people would rather go HD in the current studio than wait for a complete overhaul.

Their news set is terrible. WCVB has it all over WBZ and thats why they are no. !. The present set is a permanent one? You have to be kidding..I thought it was a temporary one. Why is the weather screen so small? Who is in charge there? It looks horrible.

Wendy is the Creative Services Director there. We can blame her for that horrible music too!

Channel 4's news set is an interim one.
I don't object to their music package. Although it is not stellar, WBZ's news music is the best in Boston right now.
