Is NECN offered to people that have Verizon FIOS instead of Comcast service? NECN has been part of FIOS since Verizon launched its TV service in RI/Mass four years ago. It can be seen on Ch. 115.

>>But NECN is not available to people who subscribe to DirecTV or Dish Network<<.
And that should continue to be the case after this.

In the Worcester / Westborough / Southborough corridor, where the cable company is Charter and not Comcast, NECN is available.

If Comcast follows suit with what they did to the Boston area CN8 outpost, it might be very easy to find a parking space in the NECN lot sometime soon.

I hope this mean that they will return American Builder to the airwaves.

They announced the deal today. Let's see where Comcast takes NECN.

There's a lot of Hearst influence at all levels of that Operation. Would assume there's more to come. Some of those ex-cvb'ers carry a pretty decent price tag too. I would not think there are too many tears being shed at this news on the GM. Why would Comcast NOT at least merge the 2 Ops into one facility? There are some obvious synergies, too.

Before they merge physical plants, the redundancy in their sports operations will be eliminated first. The future under the new Comcast regime doesn't bode well for Chris Collins and Mike Giardi. Expect to see Mike Felger, Gary Tanguay, Greg Dickerson and a female sports babe to be hired later on NECN in the near future.
