CBS just reported Earnings that were down 52%, they cut the Dividend by about 80% and said the present and anticipated numbers for Television are awful.
The fun continues.

CBS just reported Earnings that were down 52%, they cut the Dividend by about 80% and said the present and anticipated numbers for Television are awful. The fun continues. If they couldn't pull higher earnings during political ad season there's probably not much hope left for them down the road. Without the bleeding news operation they could probably be in the black. Their prime is pretty strong and sports(NFL, college football and hoops) always gets key demos. A few years ago, they wanted to outsource news from CNN.Looks like that time has finally come.

Profits from CBS' network and local news operations might be diminished, but it is difficult to imagine that their finances are in the red.
