Is Janet Wu freelancing again at WHDH? She isn't on the site but I still see her on air, is it that easy for them? Does it mean she can still fill-in for Amanda?
Will 7 ever get a permanent weekend morning anchor or co-anchors? Amanda Grace seems to be always soloing which it never used to be, it was always co-anchors; what's there plan for that.
Are they planning on replacing Lauren Przybyl & Grant Greenberg? Or are they just going with who they have for now to cut costs?
By the way the video bios on WHDH.com is genius, kudos to WHDH!

Will 7 ever get a permanent weekend morning anchor or co-anchors? I'm going to answer your question with a question. Will 7 ever get anybody permanent? I'll go ahead and answer it also. Probably not.

theres a new mini set that is suppose to be debuting sometime this week. It is upstairs where the old weather center used to be. You can see it in Frances' video bio in the background. It's blue walls that have writing on them saying Live, Local, stuff like that. There also seemed to be little monitors on the wall and computers.

And, Hank Ryan, Andy Hiller and Jonathan Hall. Channel 7 has a lot of long time players. Inconsistency of experienced reporters or anchors is not really the big issue there. It's all about content and sensibility. New England is an educated market place and 7 plays on the lower end. I think many viewers like their colorful(if not a little dated) presentation, but they lose many of us with their filler content and frenetic "breaking news" that really isn't.

Newser, there are plenty of uneducated, inarticulate, toothless, dullards in this market, just like any other. As the tagline goes, Seven is THEIR news station.

BTW...7 had two reporter openings (Lauren and Grant, perhaps) and the weekend AM meteorologist spot.
I would have to say Janet is freelancing. She is not a regular and with the re-launch of whdh.com, her bio was taken off.
7 doesn't even have a permenant weekend female anchor. I don't believe Sorboni was officially named to that spot. Last I knew she was solo anchor of weekend 7 News Today in New England.
