Sarah W. "welcomed" her to Saturdays, so this sounds like a permanent change. Well, permanent until they switch it up again.

Doubtful, or else a demotion of the main morning anchor would have been all over the local press and my inbox and Facebook would have been going nuts. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

No change. There has not been a permanent weekend morning anchor since Kate Merrill moved to weekdays.

This could be similar to what is going on in other markets with an overlap of the weekday anchors to the weekend.
Example one anchor works Tues-Sat morning the other anchor works Sun-Thurs. thus overlapping. Fox25 tried this with its main anchors working Sun-Thurs.
Seven News has started this with its morning weather with JR working Wed-Fridays morning and Sat-Sun night. They have also added Amanda Grace to the Friday AM.

Seven News has started this with its morning weather with JR working Wed-Fridays morning and Sat-Sun night. They have also added Amanda Grace to the Friday AM. JR isn't working Wednesday - Friday mornings. He was filling in this week for Dylan, who was away. Typically, JR works a few weekday afternoons/evenings making graphics for Pete. |
